FDR Memorial - DC

The last time I was in DC I went BACK to the FDR Memorial. I had enjoyed it SO much the first time. I was stricken by how pertinent his words are TODAY!

"No Country, however rich, can afford the waste of its human resources. Demoralization caused by vast unemployment is our greatest
extravagance. Morally, it is the greatest menace to our social order.

"Men and nature must work hand in hand. The throwing out of balance of the resources of nature throws out of balance also the lives of men."

While in Savannah we happened upon Robert Redford's filming of "The conspirator" with James McAvoy & Robin Wright Penn. GREAT FUN! I was right up in front with the Extras!!@@
