Gabriella turns 5

 I was just in DC to celebrate Gabriella's 5th birthday. It was so fun. I made her the Sleeping Beauty dress (in BLUE as she wanted). She insisted that Katherine wear a dress ..so Scecco happily wore his tux from High School Proms. He's recently been on a workout routine & lost 12 lbs. Valentina also joined us.

Trip to London & more

In Sept I wen tot London for 2 weeks to see Valentina. It was such a GREAT trip!! I LOVE London. Such fun! I was able to meet up with several friends while she worked & also she joined us for dinner a few times. I intended to play it "low-key" & NOT over do...still recovering from knee-replacement surgery...but I managed to get to 4 Museums & visit with 6 friends!! Not bad!! I made a quick trip to Saxmundham to visit a Dear Quilting friend. I had never been to the area before..& found it was adorable & so hip...do to its' proximity to London. Really nice shop & restaurants. The BEST part of my trip was our  trip to the Cotswolds. FABULOUS!! Those village & the countryside..like going back 100+ years in time!! We rented a car & had 4 FABULOUS days driving around & visiting most of the villages. When I returned I actually made my first photo album on snapfish...so fun!!

Francesco & Family in London

Francesco & Katherine flew to London with the girls last weekend for a Wedding. Another of his college "mates" got married. Valentina was on hand to help them out with babysitting. Great opportunity!

Trip South

We had a 2 1/2 week Winter getaway. We were trying to escape from Winter...but basically there has been VERY little of winter here this year. We seem to have taken the cold weather WITH us to SC & GA & then brought it BACK again!! We started with a 4 day stop in Alexandria to see the grand daughters...& our son & daughter-in-law too! The baby, Evangelina, was just starting to crawl & tried, ever so hard, to pull herself UP!! I managed to take Gabriella to pre-school one day.
Then we headed to "The South" stopping to stay with: (in Hilton Head) Connie & Boyd, Monica; (on Jekyll Island, GA) Ben & Zay, Hans & Kari; then (Callawassie Island, SC): Ann & David. We ended the trip in Oxford, MD with Joe & Suzanne. It was a GREAT trip. Many stops & chances to catch up with dear friends!! We were really missing our "Baby",the cat, Micio. Back home & were are a Happy Family again!! We took very few photos unfortunately. Here's one in Oxford, MD from the sun porch @ Suzanne & Joe's house. See the alligator & heron photos below. We only managed about 3 sunsets due to overcast weather. That's OK...we have GORGEOUS ones here & I'm always inside working & never see them!!

Here are the wildlife photos from our trip!! The first alligator was on Jeky;ll Island, the sunset (the first we saw after 10 days) was on Jekyll Island as well as the FAT alligators.
